Kvyat: It didn t come together

Red Bull Racing's Daniil Kvyat says it just “didn't come together” for him in qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix and that was why he ended up seventh on the grid. Kvyat had been ahead of team-mate Daniel Ricciardo in two of the three practice sessions – including final practice – but in Q3 he was unable to match the sister car. Indeed while Ricciardo split the Ferraris and took fourth, Kvyat finished up three spots lower and over half a second back. “It was tough today,” he conceded, “it wasn't my best qualifying session as I didn't find a good rhythm.
