FP3: Hamilton on top in final prac
Lewis Hamilton topped the timesheets in final practice for the British GP on a morning where it seemed that only reliability could stop Mercedes - and it stopped Nico Rosberg. Following heavy overnight rain, in which a thunderstorm washed away any rubber that had been laid down on Friday, drivers were in for a slick start on Saturday. Ferrari and Williams had the better of the early running as they led the way only to be pipped by the Mercedes pairing when Rosberg and Hamilton ventured out after 20 minutes. They immediately claimed the 1-2 and set about lowering the benchmark time down to a 1:33.333 on the hard tyres with Hamilton 0.398s up on Rosberg. Kimi Raikkonen was third on the hard...
