Carlos Sainz Jr: “The track layout should suit us better”

Carlos Sainz Jr missed out on points in Canada two weeks ago, struggling with the pace deficit of the Renault power unit, but the Scuderia Toro Rosso driver is ready to race at the Red Bull Ring in Austria this weekend. The Spaniard feels the Spielberg circuit, home to the Red Bull family of which he is an integral part, should suit the Toro Rosso team more than the race in Montreal did, and is hoping to return to the points paying positions. “Austria is the home race for our big Red Bull family,” said Sainz. “I raced there back in my Formula 3 days but I imagine it will feel rather different in a Formula 1 car. “From what I heard, last year’s return to this circuit turned into a...
