Patrick Head knighted for motorsport services

One of the men instrumental in the establishment of Williams Grand Prix, Patrick Head, has been awarded a knighthood by the Queen. Up until his departure in 2004, Patrick Head acted in the role of technical director; he helped Sir Frank Williams establish the team back in the 1970s. Between himself and Frank, they won a total of 9 constructor's championships. This also encompassed the 1990s, where the team were the dominant force under the design lead of Adrian Newey.
