New McLaren nose passes FIA crash test

McLaren has confirmed that its new MP4-30 nose cone has passed the FIA's crash test. The Woking-based outfit will bring the revised nose to the next race in Austria, which takes place at the Red Bull Ring. It was been a difficult start to the 2015 season for McLaren, with Honda power unit reliability issues hampering the team's progress. The MP4-30 also lacks front downforce, with racing director Eric Boullier admitting that McLaren needs to 'work on this' to improve the car.
