Ricciardo 'confused' by lack of pace
Last season he won the Canadian GP but this year Daniel Ricciardo did not even have the pace needed to score a single point. Although Red Bull were always aware that the win - and the podium - were out of reach, Ricciardo had at least hoped for solid points in Sunday's race. He started ninth at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve but was almost immediately on the back foot. Dropping down the order as he changed from the supersoft to the soft tyres, the Aussie finished a disappointing P13.
