Merhi takes final seat at Manor
An announcement on Manor's second driver for the forthcoming season is expected imminently and a host of drivers have been linked with the one remaining vacancy on the F1 grid. As the squad near the deadline to confirm their line-up, team president Graeme Lowdon revealed that bringing a budget isn't a necessary requirement. Ferrari simulator driver Jean-Eric Vergne has been linked with the seat thanks to Manor's engine deal with the Scuderia. The Frenchman contested 58 grands prix for Toro Rosso, before being dropped in favour of Max Verstappen at the end of 2014. Axed Sauber test driver Giedo van der Garde is also reported to be in contention, but the Dutchman is currently embroiled...
