Alonso to debut McLaren-Honda at Jerez

cLaren has confirmed that Fernando Alonso will be the first to drive the upcoming MP4-30 at the opening pre-season test in Jerez, as the team embarks on a new era with returning engine supplier Honda.Alonso is scheduled to drive on the first and third days of the test, which takes place from February 1-4, with team-mate Jenson Button in action on the second and fourth days.McLaren's new Formula 1 challenger will be unveiled in the week leading up to the test, with an online launch scheduled for January 29.The Woking-based outfit previously worked with Honda between the 1988 and 1992 seasons, claiming 44 race victories and eight world titles.Alonso, who previously raced for McLaren in 2007,...
