Horner: Ricciardo form aided Kvyat promotion
– Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner says that Daniel Ricciardo's form in 2014 aided the squad's decision to promote Daniil Kvyat from Toro Rosso to the senior team next year.Ricciardo won three races in 2014 and placed third in the Drivers' Championship, while team-mate Sebastian Vettel endured his first win-less campaign since 2007 and finished fifth in the Standings, prior to his move to Ferrari.Horner says that Ricciardo's strong form in 2014 justified Red Bull's philosophy of promoting youngsters, hence why the decision was made to replace Vettel with 20-year-old Kvyat."The way he has performed this year has been phenomenal, he's been very quick," Horner said of...
