Vergne buoyed by Toro Rosso speculation

Sutton Images Enlarge Jean-Eric Vergne says he is encouraged by reports suggesting Toro Rosso will retain his services for 2015 and thinks the last few races have given him the chance to showcase his true potential. Vergne's future at Toro Rosso has been a doubt all season; first it was announced he was being replaced by Max Verstappen, before Daniil Kvyat was promoted to Red Bull to take Sebastian Vettel's 2015 seat. Kvyat's elevation upset Vergne but it now leaves the seat alongside Verstappen available next season, with the teenage sensation recently admitting he would like to partner the Frenchman.
