BRDC Award winner Parry gets McLaren test

Matt Parry drove Jenson Button's 2011 McLaren Sutton Images Enlarge Formula Renault Eurocup racer Matt Parry completed a "phenomenal" prize McLaren Formula One test at Silverstone on Monday. Parry, 20, the 2013 McLaren AUTOSPORT BRDC Award winner, carried out a trio of five-lap runs in the McLaren MP4-26 Jenson Button drove to victory in the 2011 Canadian Grand Prix. The award was won on the back of his triumph in last season's Formula Renault European Cup. Describing the opportunity, Parry said: "Phenomenal is the only word I can think of at the moment to describe it," the FR Eurocup podium finisher said.
