Hamilton edges Alonso in Singapore practice
Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton once gain proved to be the man to beat as he topped in the times in Friday free practice for the Singapore Grand Prix.
The British driver enjoyed a strong run in both 90 minutes session setting a personal best of 1.47.490s on super soft rubber in the second hit out.
The effort proved to be just over a tenth quicker than nearest rival Fernando Alonso.
Ferrari produced one of their best starts to a grand prix weekend this season with both Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen posting impressive times.
Alonso, who topped the opening free practice session was just 0.133s adrift of Hamilton while Red Bull Racing’s Daniel Ricciardo was third, just two tenths quicker than the...
