Albers resigns as Caterham team boss

Caterham have announced that Christijan Albers has resigned as CEO, with Manfredi Ravetto taking over with immediate effect. Albers joined Caterham at the start of July when the team was sold by Tony Fernandes to a Swiss and Middle Eastern consortium. However, his days as team boss have been short-lived. The team announced on Sunday, in the wake of the Italian GP, that the Dutchman had left the team. Albers said in a press released: "Over the past months I have dedicated all my energy to ensure the takeover of the team would go as smoothly as possible and to achieve the best possible result for our investors, sponsors and all the people involved with Caterham F1 Team.
