Grosjean hoped for more despite Q3 berth

Lotus F1 Team Romain Grosjean has admitted that he hoped to qualify in a higher position in China despite progressing through to Q3 for the first time in 2014. Lotus has endured a troublesome start to the 2014 but Grosjean made it through to the top ten shootout in wet conditions, where he set the slowest time of the ten runners. "It is good to be in Q3," he said. "We have made good progress this weekend. Things went better this morning than in qualifying this afternoon and so we had maybe even higher hopes.
