Mercedes completes W05 shakedown

Mercedes AMG Petronas. File photo. Mercedes has completed a shakedown of the team's 2014 at Silverstone. As part of the team's filming day, Nico Rosberg tested the Mercedes W05, complete with the 2014 specification PU106A Hybrid Power Unit. Rosberg completed 40km of running across two hours on Friday afternoon. The W05 will make its public debut at the first test at Jerez next Tuesday, with Lewis Hamilton at the wheel. Rosberg will drive on the Wednesday and Friday, with Hamilton receiving running on Thursday. Force India also conducted a shakedown at Silverstone on Friday, while Toro Rosso undertook filming with their STR9 at Misano.
