Doohan splits with Alpine, resurfaces at Toyota

Dec.10 Jack Doohan is severing ties with Alpine and switching his career momentum firmly toward Toyota – and potentially Haas – as the 2026 era approaches. The Australian began 2025 as Alpine's rookie race driver, contesting six grands prix before Flavio Briatore abruptly replaced him with Franco Colapinto. Doohan stayed on as reserve for the rest of the season, but Finland's Ilta Sanomat reports that chapter is now closed. Doohan has re-emerged in Japan this week, confirmed for all three days of the Super Formula post-season test at Suzuka. The series itself announced on Monday.
